End of year Berwyn Sprout store update — hey, I broke $1000 in sales! That’s a nice little milestone. 🙂 If I can consistently do $1000 in sales, this hobby will pay for its supply costs, which would be a great result — it’s helped our household budget that I’m no longer buying art supplies to amuse myself out of general discretionary funds. Let’s see if we can get there by next October (one-year mark).
I’ve been mostly plowing any money coming in from the store right back into supplies or paid help, but I’m going to take $500 of that as salary for the year and use it to buy Kevin a nice Christmas present, because he’s been really great supporting me in this new endeavor, and he deserves a treat. (If you see this, Kev, Merry Christmas!)
The big bump in sales is, of course, the Christmas effect, and I expect sales to drop significantly in January (if I do $500 in the month, I’ll be content). If you look at the chart, you’ll see that there were no sales on 12/25, 12/26, 12/27, 12/28 — but then, interestingly, they start up again on 12/29.
So far, resin botanical jewelry, resin coasters, resin bookmarks, and pressed flower candles, so you know what I’ll be making more of this week. 🙂 I do have some more experiments in the pipeline, though, which I’m excited about.
