The Bear Claw Tree

Last redwood pics — this is the “Bear Claw Tree,” named for the shape of its buttressed base. At 279 feet (85 m), it’s the second tallest known tree in the park.

For comparison, the Statue of Liberty is 305 feet. The tallest coast redwoods (not found in this particular park) get to 379 ft!
