We head back to Chicago this evening, but first, here are some pics from yesterday’s visit to the redwoods at Henry Cowell Woods (near Santa Cruz).
A successful expedition; I was prepared to have the kids just want to do the little .8 mile initial loop, but they voted to go further into the woods, so we were wandering around happily for close to two hours.
What are the little tree teepees for? Kevin thought they might be arranged around stumps — protecting new growth? We were confused.
