I have been trying to be on vacation and not work, but it’s hard, in part because if I don’t make something creative regularly, I tend to get cranky.
Took an hour today to experiment with watercolors — I watched some YouTube tutorials and tried doing branches and stems mostly, with watercolor pencils, watercolor brushes, and straight watercolors.
No real conclusions, but I do find it a little trickier getting good results from the pencils. I labelled the various experiments so I could remember what I used to make them.
Not sure what I’m going to do with watercolors, but have some idea about a greeting card, maybe with a poem? Well, we’ll see. It was a fun hour playing, at any rate, and I was less cranky afterwards.
