Something Small and Unambitious

Oof, a little tired. Somehow I ended up with both the first day of classes (which went great, I love being in the physical classroom with the students, they are so adorable, I love them all, and I even managed to connect with one student who disappeared at the end of last semester, and he PROMISED to get me the missing final paper by spring break, so I can justify changing his F to a grade more in line with the rest of his work last semester, such a relief…)….

…and a day when I really needed to spend a few hours working on a screenplay draft. All in the same day.

Poor planning on my part — I’ve been ensconced in my shed for the last few hours, and while it’s plenty cozy here and I’ve gotten a lot done, my eyes keep wanting to close. Maybe I’ve made it TOO cozy.

But I think I’ve done enough for tonight — I’ve completely reorganized the entire first episode, drafted a few new scenes (including the one below, forgive the dialogue for being a little rough, it’s brand new), sent it off to Ted and Alex to look at, and all I have left to do tonight is cook something for 30 days of Vegan Serendib. I think I can do that. Something small and unambitious. 🙂
