A Better System

I don’t know who needs to know this, but my cell is generally not a good way to reach me, for phone or text. I am old and crotchety and I often don’t have it with me, or if I do have it with me, it’s often turned off. Leaving voicemails is likely no use, as I rarely look at them, because I get so much spam. I also still have a landline, but rarely look at the voicemails on that either. (I have just cleared 35 voicemails, to give you some idea.)

My FB messages are also deluged, and I’m pretty sure I miss a lot of the ones that come in there — or I read them, but never remember to get back to them.

What is a good way to reach me? Honestly, I don’t know — I’m pretty much drowning in people trying to reach me these days, and it’s increasingly becoming beyond my ability to cope with. I need to figure out something better sometime soon. The Serendib-work-related e-mail Stephanie usually manages to triage for me, which does help, but I think I need to figure out a better system for all the rest.

But for now, e-mail, and if it’s urgent, mark it URGENT in the subject line, and it will join the queue of many other URGENT things in my e-mail. I also have a contact form on my website, which is just my name, so easily findable. Thanks.

Cute pic so this post isn’t too depressing.
