After birthday dinner, we walked across the street, and stopped in a new store, Civinte Candle Bar (807 S. Oak Park Ave.), where you can make your own room spray ($15), reed diffuser, ($35), or candle ($45+).
I’m unlikely to go do this, because I already have gazillion essential oils and candle-making supplies at home, but wanted to note for locals that it’s a cute place, and would be fun for an activity to do with friends. Great for a bridal or baby shower activity, for example. Or something more manly. 
Looks like it’s a black woman owned business too, if you’re looking for some of those to support, run by a mother-daughter duo, Cheryl Patrice and Breana Ciara. You can also buy their handmade candles in store or online, and I think they do commissions, including if you’d like a set of something to give as gifts.
