What’s Blooming, 6/4/22

Blooming this week, finally caught up! Names and notes on photos.

Weigela “Wine and Roses”

Iris “Queen of Night”

Siberian iris “Gull’s Wing”. I plan to dig it up and divide it so I can plant some with the “Queen of Night,” which will be very dramatic!

Peony and iris.

Baptisia (native) with peony and iris.

Nectaroscordum siculum (used to be classified as allium bulgaricum). I always think of it as fairy bells. 🙂

Allium schubertii (not hardy in our zone, needs to be replanted each year).

Martagon lily (blooms in shade) under redbud with fading hellebores.

Another woodland shade bloomer, meadow rue — some varieties are native here.

Peonies.

Peony.

First rose, “Zephirine Drouhin,” mostly thornless climber, a tiny bit more shade-tolerant than most roses.

Columbines, bleeding heart, rose “Eglantyne”. They overlap for about a week.

Amsonia emerging (some are native, I think).

Penstemon beardtongue (native, I think?)

My gardener bunnies have acquired a potting shed. With pansies, going strong months later.
