Taxes, filed, down to the wire per usual. Interestingly, I think this might be the first year I’ve made (a little) more than $100,000 in income as a professor + writer.
Not that that’s all profit, even before taxes, since I have a lot of part-time staff help, supplies costs, travel expenses, etc. and so on. But still, kind of a nice milestone to hit, at age 50, about 25 years into a career as a working writer.
We don’t get into this job for the money, clearly. 
(All my doctor relatives can laugh now…)
