I wrote about 4000 words yesterday and today, bringing the total to about 7200, which is longer than I’d planned, but it turned out there was a lot to pack in, and I’m not sure it doesn’t need to be a little longer. I’m going to let it sit for a little while, look at it in the morning, I think, maybe do a quick revision pass, and then send it out to workshop for feedback.
If you’re interested in being a beta reader and looking at it, I’d be happy to hear what you think — no critiquing experience required. Just comment below and let me know what e-mail to use. I’d love feedback by Saturday, so that I have a chance to implement revisions before this writing retreat ends and the semester starts on Monday.
Woot.
Tomorrow, I have a Tor.com story to implement edits on, which I’m hoping will be quick, and then I dive back into the novel. Onwards.
(Photo of dinner from two nights ago — green sauce for me, please! In Santa Fe, they ask you if you want green sauce or red. If you want both, you can answer, “Christmas!” Isn’t that the cutest?)
