Kavi invited a (vaccinated) friend over for pool time, which means I might not actually get the swim in today that I intended, but that’s just fine — it’s SO LOVELY to finally be able to have the kids’ friends over to enjoy the pool.
We were glad we’d gotten it last year (despite paying a COVID premium of approximately double the normal cost), but even though Anand and I used it close to daily during the summer, it was just sad, not being able to have other kids splashing around with ours. This is better.
I hope the U.S. releases any oversupply of vaccines, to places that are in desperate need, and that those with deep pockets who can fund the COVAX initiative do so.
Everyone needs to be able to get back to normal life again.
