A nice day to look forward to; hang out with the kids and clean up until 10, then I have a 4-hr. block free while Kev watches them, to exercise, shower and dress, do a bit of admin work, and write. From 2-6, we're having friends stop by for an open house tea (if you're a local friend and didn't get an invite, drop me a line). Cucumber sandwiches, scones and clotted cream and jam, fruitcake. Tea and wine. And then 6-10, more hanging with the kids, maybe some reading or a movie. Call our ex-girlfriend in Australia tonight and wish her a Happy New Year. A good day. A good life.
Some years I've had lots of resolutions. This year, the list is pretty simple. Exercise more, write more. Everything else in my life is actually going pretty swimmingly, and I'm pretty much in counting-blessings mode. There are lots and lots of them.
Bye-bye 2011! Hello, 2012!
The tea sounds fabulous! A very Happy New Year to you and your loved ones, Mary Anne. May your lovely Eden continue to trail you! x
