Hey, folks. Help me shop? I’m looking for mini plant watering spikes. Pictured below, you can see a regular size one — you put a wine bottle full of water over it, and the water slowly seeps through the clay, helping to keep the plant evenly watered. I am TERRIBLE at remembering to water, and these have made a serious improvement in my rate of plant survival.
What I’d like is a mini version for my smaller pots (as seen on the spiral ladder shelf), and my googling has failed me. Any help appreciated!
I *don’t* like the glass globes for watering, even though they’re very pretty — in my experience, they either drain too fast, or get clogged up with soil. I could combine them with mini clay watering spikes, though, if I could find the right size.
If all else fails, I might see if I can talk some local potter into making and selling these!
Last note — the box in the last picture holds six plastic bottles that I got originally; I decided I wanted to replace them with glass, mostly for aesthetics. So those are available for free porch pick-up — locals, let me know if interested! You’ll still need to buy the clay plant watering spikes separately; they’re available on Amazon for $19. (Also for more, but there’s no need to pay for the more expensive ones; they’re all the same.)
