We started crafting circle at the studio on Saturdays, 3-4:30. I haven’t really advertised it yet, so so far, only one person has discovered it. But that person is cool — this is Lana, who made that chain mail necklace she’s holding last week, during the crafting circle. She works very fast!

It’s not every single Saturday, at least not yet — I’m out of town for a few weekends coming up, and I didn’t want people to try to host it for me, since it’s new. But we’ll be here again next Saturday 6/27, and then will return July 11, 18, and 25.
“Got a project you need to work on? Come and craft in company. Suitable for projects that will fit in your lap, or about the size of a dinner setting at a table – we’re not that big! Ages 14+.”
I should say, I want to be open to older teens, but i’m hoping only pretty self-directed teens show up, because I’m going to be crafting too, so I can’t do a lot of supervision. Well, we’ll try it, see how it goes!
(I was working on a new experiment today, learning how to sew a tie. I’d had some thought of making some cool ties for Father’s Day, but that clearly didn’t happen in time. If I’m not too tired when I get home from work today, I might finish this ‘old books’ tie. We’ll see!)
