I’ve started doing a few memorial commissions, using the flowers from the service. For this one, the client wanted letters for the six grandchildren (they can be placed on an LED base to turn into nightlights.) They also asked for a few pendants.
I always feel some extra weight, working with memorial flowers, but I think these came out well.
I’m very slow with these (and with wedding flowers, which I mostly refer to Ana Constantinescu, who specializes in them), so I can’t do more than one every two months or so, and I have two more in queue.
But if I get the flowers and dry them right away (ideally on the same day or the day after), and if the client doesn’t mind if it takes some months for me to finish a commission, then I can possibly schedule for some months out.
