It has been very fun and interesting and intense, teaching a five-day writing workshop and then going straight into the Nebulas, but by day 8, I was feeling extremely talked out!
Ben leaves town Tuesday, so our plan is to do a mini writing retreat together tomorrow, try to get some words on the page (and for me, get my summer writing kickstarted).
I’m looking forward, but I’m also really looking forward to a lot of quiet time in the garden in the next week. Just me and my plants…
I spent a little time cleaning up the flower arrangements in the house and cutting some new mock orange for vases. Aren’t these faded flowers so pretty? Centaurea and roses Crown Princess Margaretha and Princess Alexandra of Kent. All edible too — when they’re fully dried, perhaps I will make some little jars of edible flower confetti for the store.
