Did you do ANYTHING other than eat and critique at the workshop? Yes, actually. Folks were free to do whatever they liked in the evenings — go out to dinner, wander around Oak Park or downtown Chicago, hide and write some more, etc.
Sometimes we played games. I have a LOT of games. This is Botany — you play as a Victorian plant hunter. (I think I was teaching it to Benjamin Rosenbaum that night?) I quite like it, and have it at my studio now, and would like to play it again.
Friday afternoons are pretty quiet, so if anyone wants to come over and play Botany with me on a Friday afternoon, let me know! I think it takes about an hour, but a little longer the first time you play. I have tea! Very Victorian!
Application deadline for this year’s workshop is today!
