Huzzah, we’re finally recovered from the website hack (only cost $400, sigh), which means that we now have a live (if minimal) page for Serendib House Studio, so people can check the free event schedule and register for workshops. Whee!
I’m adding a bunch of workshops in April — the plan is to try doing them during the times when I’m already covering the store, so Fri / Sat / Sun. (We’re also open Wed / Thurs, but that’s when Dive Bar Soap Company is covering the store.)
There’s also info on the new page about space rental (both paid, and free for community events).

FREE COMMUNITY EVENTS:
• Board Game Night – Drop in; we’ll play a quick game or two first, then if people like, a longer one. (If people want to play a much longer game, we’d schedule that separately). Ages 14+.
• Book Club (mostly Sci-Fi / Fantasy) – Stop by and talk about a cool book. The April book will be a novella, _A Psalm for the Wild-Built_, by Becky Chambers. Ages 18+.
• Co-Writing – Got a project you need to work on? Come and write in company. We’ll chat for the first 5-10 minutes, get settled, write quietly for 45 minutes, and repeat. (Bring headphones; the store is open, so I may need to help customers.) Ages 18+.
• Garden Club – Seed / cuttings / perennial exchange, general garden talk. Bring your garden problems for us to discuss, your plant and design questions. Browse our garden books, have some tea, and talk about plants for a bit. Beginners welcome. Houseplants count! All ages.
• Yarn Circle – Bring your yarn, your needles, your hooks — all textile folks welcome. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, weaving (small!), drop spindle spinning, needle-felting, etc. and so on. (We don’t really have space for dyeing, alas!) Beginners welcome; I’m happy to try to help if you get stuck. Ages 18+
