Two weeks in, and I’m actually finished (?) with pricing the items in the physical store. That took longer than anticipated!
I’m doing something a little odd with the bookshelf items — I hope it’s clear.
• items with a price on it are available for sale.
• items with a plant sticker are available for loan; you can leave a deposit and check it out for a week. Try out a board game, for example, or borrow a gardening or knitting book!
• items with a dragon sticker are in-store use only; that’s mostly for a couple of rare board games that are out of print; I’m happy to have them here for board game night.

Now, I have to actually set up a system for tracking all this — I think for right now, I’ll just have staff keep a list:
• name / contact # / item name / amount deposited / date checked out / date returned / confirm deposit returned
That makes sense, right? I can make up a checkout sheet, keep it on a clipboard at the desk.
Well, we’ll try it, see how it goes! (Yes, when I was a little kid, I wanted to be a librarian…)
