Looking for local knitters and crocheters!

Looking for local knitters and crocheters! We want the Arts District to look really artsy, so we’re doing a yarn-bombing project on trees all along the street.

If you’re interested in making a square for us (ideally 19″ x 19″), stop by either Serendib House or Dye Hard Yarns (17 Harrison Street, where shop owner Chastity is coordinating this effort, and can answer all your questions) and collect some free yarn to play with! And Chastity also teaches classes — this would be a great beginner project.

That red and yellow square was made by one of the crocheters from our Saturday morning yarn circle meet-up; I’m almost done with the green square. This is great mindless work — no need to count. Perfect for watching TV. 🙂 (You can also use your own yarn if you want; we recommend acrylic for this project.)

Finished squares can be dropped off during open hours at either Dye Hard Yarns or Serendib House. I’m open:

Wed / Thurs / Fri: 1-7

Saturday: 9-5

Sunday 10-4

If you have questions, ask!
