Quick breast cancer update (good news) — I had my routine follow-up with my oncologist yesterday, and not only does everything look clear, she’s graduated me off Tamoxifen (a med that’s supposed to help with avoiding recurrence), because she doesn’t think I need it anymore. She’s also moving me to once a year routine follow-up, instead of every six months.
So that’s very nice. 10+ years cancer free, and hopefully lots more to come. Getting older has mostly seemed to involve adding another med periodically, so it’s very pleasing to drop one from the roster.
(Photo of spring bulbs I dug up from the garden today and will be taking to the studio tomorrow: snowdrops, crocuses, species crocuses, winter aconite. Feels appropriate. Springy spring.
I think that shorter rounded snowdrop might be “Diggory,” but not positive. Could be “S. Arnott.” Should take better notes. $5 small pots / $10 medium. When they’re done flowering, plant them in the garden, and they should come back year after year. Like me!)
