March Free Events

Dangit — I realized just this morning that I messed up, and scheduled co-writing and book club on a weekend when I’m going to be away at a conference. Gah. I could’ve sworn I checked that first.

It’s worrying because I’m not sure how to get the word to the book club people, so they’re going to show up on Sunday 3/22 and nobody will be here. 🙁

I’m rescheduling them both for a week later, on the 29th — hopefully I can get the word out.

(Are these descriptions clear? Let me know if anything’s confusing, please.)

Yarn Circle: Bring your projects (crochet, knitting, embroidery, etc.) and work in company. Beginners are welcome — this isn’t a class, so you should know the basics (Dye Hard Yarns offers classes locally). But if you get stuck, someone will try to help you! All are welcome, ages 18+.

Co-Writing: Write quietly in company. Headphones recommended (it’s possible customers will come in). Generally we chat for the first 10-15 minutes of the hour, then work for about 45 minutes. Repeat. All are welcome, ages 18+.

Board Game Night: We have lots of games here; you’re welcome to bring your own too. Usually we’ll start off with an easy group game, then break up into smaller tables. All are welcome, ages 14+.

Book Club: Mostly science fiction & fantasy (on the literary side), sometimes political. In March we’ll be reading a novella (short!): _A Psalm for the Wild-Built_, Becky Chambers. All are welcome, ages 18+.
