A little fun — I got to build two terrariums today, layering pebbles for drainage, charcoal, moss, soil, plants, and more decorative moss. One of them is closed, which is ideal for ferny plants, and the other is open, which is better for plants that like a more arid environment.
It’s nice to be able to have more plants at the studio — it was difficult to keep them reasonably watered at the Berwyn Shops, and to control the temperature. And of course, I have more space now. Let’s see what I can do!
These will be for sale at the preview this Saturday (12-4, 301 Harrison). Note that the orchids should bloom for a few weeks (possibly several), but eventually they will go dormant. If you are diligent, you should be able to get them to rebloom, but I admit, for my own terrarium at home, I tend to just buy a new mini orchid every two months or so…
