Kavi and her grandfather, taking a nap

Do invitations really have to be by text rather than e-mail to actually reach people these days? Because I think texting everyone for something like an open house is just beyond me.

I used to just use Evite, which used to work well, but now I wonder if a FB event is more likely to be seen by friends? Is that better?

Current communication options are AWFUL. I hate this timeline.

(This message brought to you by me trying to figure out how to reach people for our New Year’s Day open house potluck and board games, a tradition that’s been mostly on hiatus since COVID, but which I miss and would like to bring back. Sigh.)

(I’d actually like to bring back the even older monthly potluck and board games that we did when the kids were little, but not sure I have the bandwidth. But maybe I should prioritize the bandwidth. I’ve just been working and working and working for so many months and I’m pretty falling down now. Dropping balls right and left. Gah.)

Pic: Kavi and her grandfather, taking a nap. (She got permission from the nurses.) She’s been sleeping really terribly the last two months; we’re trying to figure it out. I’d say we’ve tried all the things, but it turns out there are a LOT of things you can try. We’ve tried many of the things.

We’ll try more things. Poor munchkin.
