Grades are in, hooray, huzzah. With an hour to spare, even. Except I might have to change two of the grades next semester if the students ever get back to me about their missing final projects. But that is a problem for another semester.
I don’t have any pictures of me grading, so here’s a picture of Benjamin Rosenbaum and me recording the most recent episode of our podcast. If I look tired, it’s appropriate, because it was an episode about aging (‘as writers,’ ‘in science fiction,’ etc…).
I’m doing my last shift at Sprout tonight, which is making me feel a little wistful. Sprout is closing on 12/28 (they lost their lease), and even though I was planning to leave at the end of the month anyway, I feel bad for all the other small businesses here. It’s a great place to pick up little stocking stuffers at very reasonable prices, if you’re local and still shopping. (7129 Cermak Road, in Cermak Plaza, near Tony’s.)
