Little fern fidget spinners. I tried making them with resincrete previously, because I thought the white ceramic look would make a good surface for embedding botanicals, but it turns out to be a little fragile — even after I added a layer of resin to strengthen them, I’d hesitate to let a kid play with them.
And even though I was picturing these are more for adults, people kept coming into the store with kids who would immediately reach for the fragile fidget spinners…so I tried some with resin, which is much more sturdy, and these came out fine, I think. Cute and professional enough to sit out on a work desk, sturdy enough to survive kids grabbing and playing with them.
(See next post to see them in action.)
