Okay, I still don’t love grading papers

Okay, I still don’t love grading papers, but I do very much love that at this point in my career, I have undergrad students who voluntarily choose to write about Bradbury and Delany. It brings me joy.

“In both The Martian by Ray Bradbury and Aye, and Gomorrah by Samuel R. Delaney, the theme of the alien – or Other – serves as a lens through which humanity’s responses to difference (ranging from fear and grief to desire and exploitation) are explored.”

(No critique of her opening sentence, please. That’s my job. 🙂 )
