Leaving ICFA

Waiting to board my flight — leaving ICFA to spend spring break with my dad in New Britain, CT. Kavi and her friend Tess are at my sister’s in New York through tomorrow afternoon, then Tess will meet up with her family, and Kavi will take the train to Berlin, and I’ll pick her up tomorrow night.

Today, I get a rental car around noon and drive to my dad’s, where apparently I’ll be interrupting a lunch with friends, because he thought we were coming next week. Oops! It’s fine, though. The only downside of ICFA this year is that for no good reason, I slept very badly for three nights, so I’m crashing a bit. I figure I’ll say hi to his guests, eat something, and then take a nap.

Tomorrow is mostly grading and trying to figure out some more of my parents’ finances; my sisters and I are trying to help them with various things, but it’s so complicated! I’ve actually begged my elementary school friend Dan (lawyer) to stop by and go over some of it with me, because I’m feeling really dumb. So that’s tomorrow afternoon, whee!

Spring break is not what it used to be. 🙂

More ICFA notes coming soon!
