Heading to the Bay Area to help work on clearing out my in-laws’ condo. May be a mopey long weekend. But I’m planning to see a few friends, so that’s nice.
And I’m at the airport early enough to wait 20 minutes for a huevos y rajas torta from Frontera, which I plan to enjoy with a mango-lime agua fresca, so at least the morning is starting well.
I signed up for CLEAR last time I was in an airport, where they put your biometrics on file and use that to clear you faster at security, mostly because I sometimes cut it very fine, and I figured it was worth a little money to speed the process.
Today was my first time using it; it’s a little weird. It’s not just a shorter line; they escort you to the head of their security line and speed you through. I just wanted a shorter line; this felt a little…I don’t know. Brave New World + privilege, I guess.
