The right time to generate more light

I think I poured these on Sunday? I’m not really a serious candlemaker, but winter just seems like the right time to generate more light. Also, resin work really slows down in winter, because resin cures slower (or not at all) below certain temperatures. I still do some, and our basement does have heat, but it’s still chillier than the rest of the house, so…

Question — I’m not sure what I should do with the ring of little houses — I’m planning to put some glass votive holders in the middle. I could fix them all down with some serious glue, but if I leave them loose, people can re-arrange the little houses to their heart’s delight, and if they’re sitting on a table somewhere, they’re not going to shift around on their own.

But that means they’re a bit more of a pain to move, and I’m wondering how that will work in the shop. Thoughts? Fixed or loose?

Planning to bring all these down to Berwyn Sprout tomorrow afternoon, along with the rest of the items from the Shops, and see how much will fit in my little booth space. The rest, we’ll bring home, and my intern Connor Nevitt is going to help me get them up on the Shopify site, with the hopes of mirroring that to an Etsy site sometime soon.

White candles: unscented soy wax

Pale green candles: “Greenhouse” scent (tomato leaf & petrichor), soy wax, mica powder (which goes glittery and darker green again when it melts, fun!)
