Playroom-to-sewing & art-room conversion progressing. I decided another piece of furniture would help a lot, so I’ve ordered an IKEA Kallax bookshelf — two of them, actually, 2×2 cubes, for flexibility. It’s a little more bulky doing 2×2 cubes instead of a single 2×4, but I move things around enough, I think it’s probably smarter to be able to separate them.
They’ll go on the floor by the piece of wall to the right of the standing wood hanging unit (where there’s a sharply sloped ceiling), and hopefully I won’t bump my head too often getting things out of there. It’ll take a week or two for them to be delivered (and then I need to find time to assemble them), so I’m just going to leave all the sewing bins in chaos for a little while, I’m afraid.
The art desk has already found a new home with a pair of artists, so that’s satisfying. 🙂 Bye-bye castle I stenciled when the children were wee; maybe you’ll be uncovered again someday.
