Swap today! Woot! It took me about 30 minutes / day for the last three days to help my kids winnow out some games, books and toys they’ve outgrown or gotten bored of — looking forward to seeing other folks get some joy out of them! And loving the shelves that no longer have stuff falling off them because they’re jammed too tight!

While you’re at the Berwyn Shops, I do encourage you to stop by the various adorable sheds and check out the small business vendors — there’s a coffeeshop and gluten-free treats in the first two sheds, an herbalist, candles and lotions, Guatemalan hand-crafted items (gorgeous!), adorable Mexican-imported pet outfits and pet-themed jewelry, teen-approved jewelry at Kiki’s pink extravaganza, hair and facial services, delicious mini pies and banana bread, handmade kids’ bows and hair accessories, and I know I’m forgetting one or two of the others, sorry!

The Shops are open today, next week Fri-Sat-Sun, and then some of us are open the 3rd and 4th weekends in December, but not all. (I’ll be closed the 4th weekend.) So if you’d like to support a little incubator business, now is a great time. (But you can also just come and swap!)

I’ll mostly be in my shop (the purple one), right next door to the tent in the back with the swap. If you have any questions, come ask, but basically it’s pretty free form — starting at 11 a.m., bring something in, take something (or several somethings) away. (If you notice it’s getting messy and can take a moment to help straighten up, that’d be great.)

After 3 p.m., no need to bring anything, just come and take. I’ll pack up and donate whatever’s left at 5 p.m. If you reserved a particular game last week, collect it from me in my shop.

Forecast says a high of 53F, so it’s perfect winter swap weather!

6931 Roosevelt Road (at Clinton), free parking in the lot to the east, in front of the shop, and along the street.

Last note — I MIGHT be able to coordinate a kids’ gently-used clothing swap at my actual house — if so, it’d be somewhere between 12/17 and 12/19, on a weekday, probably starting midday and going into evening. If you’d be interested in that, comment below, and if you have a preference for which date, note that too. (Tues 12/17, Wed 12/18, Thurs 12/19).
