Went to Home Depot and finally got some really tall stakes, which is what these lilies need. I try to avoid planting too many things that need staking, because it’s a bit of a pain and I’m lazy, but it does only take 10 minutes to do, and these give us weeks of glorious blooms. They’re very happy in this spot, and the tallest are almost 8′ tall.
Photo 2 is them almost horizontal to the ground before staking — photo 3 is after staking. Next year, hopefully I’ll remember to stake them earlier!
