Lunch yesterday at Taba Taba China Bistro in Los Gatos with Kev’s family — I got the same dish I got last time, the hot pot with pork and eggplant, and it was still yummy. Although they say it’s spicy, and I definitely needed to add some hot stuff (on the table) to make it actually spicy. 🙂
Plan for today is to drag the kids to the Rosicrucian Egyptian museum. Anand seems to think all museums are boring, but I think that’s him thinking in retrospect — I’d swear he has had a good time at some museums, although I admit, his limit is about 30-60 minutes. But we can do that, and get lunch, and it gets them out of the hotel room and moving for a bit. They are slowly melding into their hotel beds, and I have to detach them periodically.
Afternoon, the kids and Kevin come back to hang out, I go join Susan and Jed for coffee, and then come back to have dinner with Kev’s family, cooking something simple at Ann’s condo. Reasonably low-key day. Tomorrow’s our last full day here, and I am tempted to get the kids and Kevin moving earlier so we can do a little Santa Cruz excursion — we’ll see. That may be over-ambitious.
