Such a weird day for me so far.

Buzzed after board meeting ending at midnight, couldn’t sleep, ended up working on revisions for a bit. Sequence since then:

3 a.m. – send out manuscript to agent who requested full, send out query to another agent, kind of hope they don’t notice the time stamps or they’re going to get a really misleading sense of when they’re likely to get work from me in future, take bath, go to sleep around 3:30 a.m.

7:30 a.m. – Kavi wakes me, having overslept herself, and asks for a ride to school (usually she walks 30 minutes). I groan and go; I’d let her be late, but the school has a policy of a certain number of tardies = an absence, and if you have enough absences, you risk losing credit for the course, and I don’t love this policy, but they’re very committed to it, and she has been sick and/or tardy a fair bit this semester, so is in some danger of losing credit for that first class, which would suck, so I dragged myself out of bed

9:15 – 9:45 a.m. – SLF meeting where I try to be coherent and am only somewhat successful

9:45 – 10:15 a.m. – review student material

10:15 – 10:30 a.m. – Zoom meeting with independent study student

10:30 – 10:45 a.m. – review student material

10:45 – 11 a.m. – Zoom meeting with capstone project student

WHEW. The lack of sleep makes me feel like I’ve already worked a full day and it’s time to go to bed, but it’s only 11 a.m.

I don’t have anything I actually HAVE to do for the rest of today, though there are many things I WANT to do, so I guess it’s time to try to take a break for a bit and maybe catch a nap on the couch. I’m very bad at napping, but today, I might be able to accomplish it. Let me just close my eyes for a moment….
