I knew I would get bored with being a blonde, and I could’ve just dyed it all another color, but I was also getting tired of fussing with ponytails and the like, especially since I’m trying to do more daily exercise that gets me sweaty or gets me in the pool, so I figured it was a good time to try super-short again.
I rather impulsively cut all the length off last night, and then this morning, took Kevin’s buzz cutting tool and he helped me even it out. It’s a *tiny* bit too short in one spot, which looks a little goofy, but I’m not really seeing anyone or doing anything in July (other than hanging with friends on occasion), so it can just grow out, and then I can even it up, and get rid of the last of the blonde.
I was curious just how silver my hair had gotten — quite a bit at the temples, more salt-and-pepper still on most of it. Interesting.
I’m enjoying the look — and as a weird side effect, my head now looks surprisingly like Ellie’s fur. I didn’t mean this to be a memorial haircut, but I’m okay with that too. Still missing our puppy, every day.
I think when it’s grown out a bit more, it’ll have a sort of Carol Danvers style to it. We’ll see!
