Pruning for a better view — although this was actually about two weeks ago, I’m a little behind on posting these.
This was a pretty simple garden task, but very satisfying — my burning bush that I haven’t had the wherewithal to remove quite yet (my husband is resisting, it’s an ongoing conversation), had grown enough that a bunch of branches were blocking the view from the top of the front porch steps. Well, that couldn’t be allowed to continue, so I pulled out my heavy-duty loppers and went to town.
I find lopping very satisfying, and now I can see my flowers better. Plus, I’ll let it dry, and then we’ll have a bunch of twigs and branches to feed the backyard firepit…
