Help me brainstorm — if you are planning to meet a friend for a writing retreat in mid-February, and one of you lives in the Bay Area and one of you lives in Chicago, and you’d prefer to be somewhere not freezing cold and ideally somewhere between you two, where would you go?
(Taking Santa Fe / Albuquerque off the list, only because I was just there. Also Florida, because it’s on the wrong coast and also, I’ll be there in March for ICFA.)
We don’t need there to be a lot of entertainment in town, as we’ll mostly be holed up and writing, but a decent restaurant or two would be good.
