It ended up being much cheaper to fly into Newark than into Bradley (about $1000 cheaper for three people), so we’re doing that, which means when we get to the East Coast, we’ll be getting a rental car and driving to my parents’ house in Connecticut. I’m going to need to get the kids lunch on the way, and it’d be nice to break up the 2.5 hr drive with a stop, somewhere between Newark and New Britain.
Any suggestions of good options welcome — we can just grab fast food off the highway, of course, but if there’s a town on the way that would be good to stop and walk around in for half an hour, eat something nicer, I think the kids would appreciate the break in the trip. I’ve never done this drive, so I have no idea!
