I am enjoying Brokenwood fine in the background, nice to be in New Zealand, the episode with the fake LotR tour was kind of funny, but as mysteries go, they don’t come nearly up to the standard of Vera or Shetland.
The plots tend to be a little more extreme / wacky, and perhaps as a result, what’s actually going on is much more easy to decipher — too easy, honestly. It’s a little frustrating watching the detectives take an hour to figure out something that was telegraphed in the first ten minutes.
Sorry, Brokenwood. You’re still fine company for getting chores done…
