Purple Poppy Mallow / Winecups / Callirhoe Involucrata (Native)

I don’t know why this isn’t more widely grown around here — it blooms for a long, long time, is gorgeous both up close and en masse, is very drought tolerant; just a great plant all around. It’s even a nectar source for the gray hairstreak butterfly, which I would love to see in my garden.

I guess the aesthetic might be a little messy for some people? Ah well.
