I had great good luck in visiting California at the same time as some old college friends, Elissa (my roommate, briefly) and Bryan (one of Kevin’s grad school classmates). There’s something very satisfying about seeing the kids playing together.
So lovely getting to swim a little, feed them Sri Lankan cookbook launch party leftovers, and play Wingspan with them and their kids in Alex and Christa‘s gorgeous home. Now, if I can persuade them to retire to the Bay Area….well, we’ll see.
(I take at least some credit for setting them up, lo, these many years ago. I think that guarantees me a spot in heaven, according to Jewish custom…)
