Mopheads

Annabelle hydrangea (native) — soon those mopheads will turn beautifully cool and white. Annabelles have a tendency to flop, esp. when it rains and those mopheads get heavy, so you may want to stake yours, or plant them in clumps of threes to support each other.

I use this support (also what I use for my peonies), and I like that it’s attractive enough to leave up year-round; it provides some nice winter interest. I think this year, I might try winding fairy lights through it: https://www.gardeners.com/…/jardin-bird…/39-521.html
