The redbud has a halo of green right now, as the heart-shaped leaves start to emerge. The blooms are fading; I’d meant to make some redbud jelly this year, but I’m not sure if it’s too late? Maybe I’ll try to gather a cup or two of blooms tomorrow. Very soon, the ground below will be a carpet of pink blossoms.
