The murder mystery episode I watched last night, Midsomer Murders, Season 13, episode 7, “Not in My Backyard,” centered on a local election. There were several gruesome deaths.
There’s been a fair bit of unpleasantness this recent election season in Oak Park & River Forest, but I’m counting my blessings, because at least we haven’t sunk to those depths!
Election tomorrow. Vote, people. A pretty small percentage of folks vote in the off-year elections, and as a result, they have a dramatically outsized effect on local conditions of schools, libraries, parks, infrastructure, policing, and more. All the things that are likely to affect your daily lives….
