I was having a leisurely cooking day yesterday until I realized that the Shef drop-off I had scheduled for 3:30 was actually for 2. Whoops. I was in such a rush then to get it all cooked and chilled in time for delivery that I couldn’t pause to post any photos. But I got it dropped off, and within a week, their tasters will get back to me to let me know if they’ve accepted me as one of their Shefs (certified home cooks for pop-up delivery meals).
As a home cook, I have to admit, it’s sort of exciting and nervous-making, thinking of someone actually judging my food this way. I don’t think I’ve even entered a pie contest or anything! We’ll see what they say…wish me luck!
This is my basic eggplant curry (link below), that I modified this time by adding potato and mushrooms. Jed said he likes the mushroom addition. Kevin doesn’t eat mushrooms — it’s nice having Jed here to eat mushrooms with me…
