I have a procedural question for the electoral geeks in the room (whom I love and appreciate greatly for their geekery) — what would be the process for changing our voting structure in Oak Park to ranked choice voting?
Is it possible? Would that need to happen at the state level, or as a home rule community, might we have more flexibility? I honestly think that might be more important than any given election, in terms of working towards long-term progressive change.
