The mess in the house was getting to me, and I’d started getting snappish with the kids for not picking up the way I’d asked them to, which was kind of unreasonable given that they were also in the middle of doing a scavenger hunt for Anand’s birthday, so I took myself to the porch to chill myself out a bit.
If I can’t see the mess, it can’t stress me out, right? And then Kavi brought me a warm chocolate chip pancake, which I am enjoying greatly, so all is well.
