Entrees from La Notte included filet mignon (not pictured), which I think I’ve never actually tasted before. Reader, it was good; I see what all the fuss is about. We had it rare. Also ravioli, gnocchi (not pictured), chicken piccata (very substantial, with artichokes and lemon and caper, over spaghetti). All v. tasty. I think my favorite bite of that was the mashed potatoes that came with the steak, which were maybe flavored with roasted garlic? I had a hard time stopping eating those, even though I knew dessert was coming too.
(Why is there a napkin on Anand’s head? I don’t know. Getting him to sit moderately still through three courses was a bit of a challenge…)
