Best student excuse for not turning in work on time, possibly in the history of my academic career — “Sorry I didn’t email you my journals yesterday, a house fell on my house…”
I had to ask: ‘a house fell on my house’ ???
And they wrote back that the neighbor’s house was under construction and collapsed on top of their house, and they had to stay somewhere else until the city demolished it. (With a photo, not included here for student’s privacy.)
